Epic Steak Sandwich
Sandwiches are wonderful, they can be complete meals, easy to take everywhere and the best thing is that you don't need a cutlery or plate to enjoy them.
Hello everyone, today we'll be doing a super easy steak sandwiches. This recipe is truly delicious and will be ready to eat in about 10 minutes.
2 Sirloin steak
1 big onion or 2 small ones
3 cloves of garlic
1 fresh rosemary sprig (optional)
4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of American mustard
80g of manchego cheese
2 ciabatta bread or your favorite bread
This recipe serves 2 people, but if you are more, do not worry, double or triple the amounts and everything will be fine!
In order to prepare the sauce, we'll start dicing very finely our pickle and then mix it with the mustard and mayonnaise. Reserve.
Cut the onions into julienne strips and place them into a frying pan over medium heat, with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of butter. Cook the onion for about 4 minutes or until is brown and soft. Add a pinch of salt and reserve it.
In the same pan add more butter and oil, and fry the garlic cloves and rosemary sprig for 30 seconds or until the garlic is golden (this step is optional, but it really add a lot of flavor to the steak) then remove the garlic and rosemary from the pan. Place into the hot pan the steaks and fry them for one minute each side or until is golden on the outside but pink in the center, do not forget to put salt and pepper on both sides. Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for a minute or two, while you cut into thin slices the manchego cheese. Then thinly slice the meat at an angle.
Now is the time to build your Epic sandwich and the order of factors doesn't really alter the product. However we started by putting sauce on the base of the bread, then we put a bed of caramelized onion, some pieces of steak, a few slices of cheese and finally more pickle sauce on the bread on top. And that's it.. Enjoy it with friends, chips and beer!!
