Pork in Dark Beer, Argentina

I got this recipe from one of the YouTube channels that I like to watch the most, they are Locos por el asado and they do any number of things on the grill, like all Argentines. However this recipe can be done perfectly in a pan.

Hello everyone, today we will be cooking a delicious pork shoulder in dark beer and cream. This recipe will be ready to eat in 50 minutes.

Ingredients

1 package of mushrooms

4 Chinese onions (only the white part)

1 red onion

1 can or bottle of dark beer (330ml)

1 can of single cream (approximately 300 ml)

500gr pork shoulder

3 garlic cloves

This recipe is designed for 3 or 4 people, but if you want to cook for more, do not worry, double or triple the amounts and everything will be fine.

Preparation

Start by cutting the red onion into julienne strips, the Chinese onion into slices, laminate the mushrooms and chop the garlic very small.

In a very hot frying pan over high heat (in our case on the grill), place the pork and seal each of its sides for 4 minutes or until golden brown. Don't forget to season with salt and pepper. Once it is completely sealed, remove it from the fire.

In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, place a spoon of butter and then place the chopped meat in portions, cook them for 2 more minutes, and then in the center of the pan add the red onion and the Chinese onion, cook until it is soft and golden and add the sliced mushrooms, mix everything and cook for 2 more minutes.

Add the dark beer and stir everything very well. Cook for 30 minutes or until the beer is reduced to a thick sauce. Add the cream, mix well and cook for 5 more minutes.

Try the sauce, correct the flavor by seasoning with salt and pepper, and you're done. Decorate with the green part of the spring onion and accompany it with your favorite bread.

We also made some delicious stuffed peppers, which you can find in the healthy recipes section.

As we always say:

If your plate doesn't look like our image, don't worry! We spent over 40 minutes trying to find the perfect angle for the photo.

If you don't have one of the ingredients on the list or don't like something, don't hesitate to replace it. For example, you can use another type of meat.

This recipe is just a guide, and you can adapt it to your tastes. So do not stop making it, you will be surprised how fast and delicious it is!
